Expanding our European capabilities

CWM are delighted to announce the launch of a dedicated office in Paris from 2016, with the hire of two leading agents in France, with a combined experience of over 50 years, to further strengthen our international capability and presence.

In addition to developing a presence in France for our existing UK and international tenant clients, we will be offering, in particular, our consultancy and leasing services to Chelsfield Group in providing retail advice on the large retail portfolio acquired in 2014 from Risanamento. These Parisian assets are located in highly desired prime retail streets including Avenue Montaigne, Rue St Honoré, Rue Francois Premier, Boulevard Haussmann and it will be part of our remit to add value to this Estate much as we have assisted with the Knightsbridge Estate in London.

We have extensive knowledge and experience in assisting both tenants and landlords in prime high streets across Paris and France, as well as enabling our retail clients to gain entry into the very best shopping centres in France due to our long standing relationships.

CWM also works with an extensive network of local partners across mainland Europe to provide our clients with the most accurate and up to date information to assist their entry or expansion strategies further afield. By way of example, following a detailed assessment of their existing portfolio, we are currently advising a global brand on strategies that include exit from, or relocation within, certain cities as well as repositioning and potential entry into other select markets, cities and shopping centres.

Our close working relationships with retailers and brands provides valuable insights into the criteria for success in these challenging times, allowing us to develop a robust strategy for them. We source and broker deals, as well as offer honest advice backed by data and analysis. In a recent high profile deal in Paris, we assisted a well-known brand in securing a significantly higher indemnity from the landlord based on our market knowledge and intelligence gathered.
